I am pleased to inform you on Friday, August 4, 2023 the District was notified that the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) has approved the Statement of Interest (SOI), which was submitted in April for the potential building of a new Middle High School to the “further review recommendation” status. A “Senior Study” visit has been scheduled Tuesday, August 22, 2023 in order for the MSBA representatives and consultants to review the building facilities. A “Senior Study” visit is not an invitation to work with the MSBA but part of the MSBA’s due diligence process.  The MSBA team will be reviewing the following:

• The goals and concerns about the facility;

• The school building deficiencies as stated in the SOI;

• How the physical condition may adversely impact the delivery of the educational program; and,

• The district’s routine and capital maintenance programs.
